There are several reasons why our teeth become stained and discoloured. One issue is that pigments from our favourite food and drink items can get trapped in the microscopic pores that cover our teeth. Other causes include thinning enamel, trauma, reaction to antibiotics, genetics, or fluorosis.
Cleaning your teeth can only do so much to reduce discolouration. But Boutique teeth whitening can do much more.

The Teeth Whitening Process
There are two ways to whiten your teeth with Boutique; you can choose to use the treatment during the day or at night.
Before starting either treatment, we’ll take impressions of your teeth and send these to the laboratory, where they’ll turn them into custom whitening trays. While preparing your trays, we’ll give you special toothpaste that strengthens your teeth and reduces sensitivity.
Boutique By Day
Boutique Whitening by Day takes around 60- 90 minutes to complete daily. You’ll wear made-to-measure whitening trays containing a 6% hydrogen peroxide gel.
Before starting your treatment, we’ll assess your teeth and gums to ensure they are healthy enough to undergo the whitening process.
Finally, you can start your treatment. This usually involves wearing the trays for around an hour and a half each day for two to three weeks.
Boutique By Night
The process for the overnight treatment is similar to that of the day. The major difference is the length of time you’ll wear your trays and the active ingredients used to make your smile sparkle.
Boutique by night uses either a 10% carbamide peroxide gel or a 16% carbamide peroxide gel. These take longer to have an effect than hydrogen peroxide treatments, so you’ll need to wear your trays overnight for four to six hours each night. Again, the treatment takes between two and three weeks.
Smile Science
During both types of treatment, the active ingredient gently removes stains and brightens your smile. To achieve this goal, the peroxide in the gels will break down into oxygen-free radicals, which penetrate the tooth, oxidising and breaking down pigment molecules.
